How to use SEPA Instant deposits on Maclear: setup, virtual IBAN, and processing time

SEPA Instant is a deposit method that gives each investor a personal virtual IBAN — a dedicated EUR account permanently linked to their Maclear profile. Once activated, transfers sent to this IBAN arrive within minutes of leaving your bank. No deposit fee applies. The feature is activated once via the Deposit / Withdraw section and requires a one-time data consent.

How to activate SEPA Instant and get your virtual IBAN

  • A prompt titled Get details for fast deposits will appear. Click Agree & get to consent to the transfer and processing of your personal data in accordance with Maclear's Terms & Conditions. (скриншот: модальное окно Get details for fast deposits с кнопками Cancel и Agree & get)

  • You will see the status Request received — this means your bank details are being prepared. This usually takes up to 5 minutes. (скриншот: модальное окно Request received)

  • Open the Instant deposit tab again — a modal window titled Your EUR account details will appear with your Receiver name, IBAN, and Bank name.     • Your virtual IBAN is issued once and permanently linked to your Maclear account. You do not need to repeat this process for future deposits.

    What do I need to include in every SEPA Instant transfer?

    Every transfer sent to your virtual IBAN must include your personal deposit reference number in the payment description. You will find it pre-filled in the Payment details field on the Deposit / Withdraw page — for example, Deposit to account No. MC10007. The transfer must be sent from a bank account registered under the same name as your Maclear investor account. This is an AML requirement.

    How long does a SEPA Instant deposit take to appear on Maclear?

    Transfers sent to your virtual IBAN typically arrive within minutes of leaving your bank. This refers to the bank-to-bank transfer speed. Maclear also performs mandatory AML compliance checks on every incoming transfer before crediting funds — this applies regardless of transfer type and may add processing time. If your deposit has not appeared after the expected window, see Article.

    What if my SEPA Instant request is not approved?

    If you see the status Request not approved, click Support in the prompt or contact support@maclear.ch directly. The support team will review the case and advise on next steps. Standard SEPA deposits remain available in the meantime.

    Can I still use a standard SEPA transfer after activating SEPA Instant?

    Yes. SEPA Instant is an additional deposit option, not a replacement. Standard SEPA transfers (1–3 business days) remain available in the same Deposit / Withdraw section. You can use either method for any transaction.

    What to do if you made a Maclear deposit without a reference number

    If you sent a SEPA transfer to Maclear without the deposit reference, funds cannot be matched automatically and go through manual processing — typically up to 4 business days. If your deposit still isn't credited after that, download a Transaction Statement (PDF) from your bank and email it to support@maclear.ch so the team can trace the transfer.

    Can I deposit to Maclear from multiple or third-party bank accounts?

    Maclear accepts deposits from any number of bank accounts — Wise, Revolut, and other neobanks included — as long as each is registered in your name (T&Cs §3.4). Joint accounts require a one-time check showing all holders. Transfers from third-party accounts in a different name are rejected and returned to the sender.

    How long does a SEPA deposit to Maclear take to appear?

    SEPA transfers reach Maclear's banking partner in 1–3 business days, then funds credit to your account the next business morning via an automated crediting cycle. All incoming transfers also go through mandatory AML compliance checks — sanctions screening, name match verification, and source-of-funds review — under Swiss AMLA, PolyReg SRO rules, and FINMA Circular 2016/7.

    How to deposit funds on Maclear: payment methods, fees, and processing time

    To deposit on Maclear, complete KYC and POA, then send a SEPA transfer to the bank details in your dashboard. Include your personal deposit reference (for example, "Deposit to account No. MC10007") and set the beneficiary to Maclear AG. The minimum is €50, deposits are fee-free, and funds typically arrive within 1–3 business days.
