Disabling 2FA on Maclear is handled by the support team — it cannot be done independently from your account settings. To request it, contact support@maclear.ch and send a selfie holding your passport or national ID for identity verification. After confirmation, the team will reset your current 2FA method, and you will be able to set it up again and choose any available option.

Why can't I disable 2FA myself?

Disabling 2FA is a sensitive security action. Requiring identity confirmation through support ensures that no one can remove your account protection without your knowledge — even if they have access to your password.

Can I use Maclear without 2FA after disabling it?

Yes. Disabling 2FA does not block access to your account. However, your account will be protected by password only — which makes it significantly more vulnerable to unauthorized access. Re-enabling 2FA after reset is strongly recommended.

Can I switch from one 2FA method to another?

Yes. Contact support@maclear.ch to reset your current method. The reset typically takes 1–2 business days after the support team confirms your identity. Once complete, set up the new method following the instructions in Article 21.
