How long does a SEPA deposit to Maclear take to appear?

SEPA transfers reach Maclear's banking partner within 1–3 business days. Once received, funds are credited to your Maclear account automatically the following business morning — even if the transfer arrives the same day. This means the total time from sending to seeing funds in your account can be up to 2 business days in normal conditions. All incoming transfers also go through mandatory AML compliance checks, which may affect processing time regardless of transfer type.
How does Maclear process incoming SEPA transfers: bank integration explained
When a SEPA transfer arrives at Maclear's banking partner, the system matches it to your account using the deposit reference number included in the payment details — this is why including the correct reference number is essential. Once matched, the funds are scheduled for the next automated crediting cycle, which runs every morning. Deposits made in the afternoon or evening typically appear the following business day.

I sent an instant SEPA transfer — why hasn't it arrived yet?
"Instant" refers to the speed of the bank-to-bank transfer, not the crediting to your Maclear account. All incoming transfers go through mandatory AML compliance checks regardless of transfer type — see below.
Why does Maclear perform AML checks on every incoming transfer?
As a regulated financial intermediary under Swiss AML law (AMLA), Maclear AG is required by law to screen every incoming transfer before crediting funds. This obligation applies regardless of the transfer speed or amount. The checks include:
Sanctions screening — verifying that the sender and transfer are not linked to sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions under applicable international sanctions lists.
Name match verification — confirming that the name on the sending bank account matches the verified identity of the Maclear investor account.
Source of funds review — ensuring that the transfer origin is consistent with the investor's verified profile and declared source of funds.
These checks are carried out in compliance with the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), PolyReg SRO regulations, and FINMA Circular 2016/7. Maclear is obligated to complete them independently of how quickly the bank-to-bank transfer was executed.
My deposit has not appeared after 3 business days — what should I do?
If 3 business days have passed and your deposit is still not visible, send your payment confirmation or transaction document (PDF) to support@maclear.ch so the team can trace the transfer with the bank.
