Does Maclear Loyalty level reset when a project is repaid?

No. The Maclear Loyalty level does not reset to PreBeta when a project is repaid. It recalculates based on your remaining active portfolio — dropping only to whatever tier matches the new total, not to zero. Existing investments retain the loyalty rate locked in when they reached Funded status.

What happens to loyalty level when a project is repaid?

When a project reaches Repaid status, the principal is returned to your account balance and removed from your active portfolio. Your loyalty level is recalculated immediately against the updated total.

Example: you are at Alpha level with €40,000 active. One project worth €5,000 is repaid — your active total drops to €35,000, which falls below the Alpha threshold of €40,000 but above the Beta Plus threshold of €15,000. Your level moves to Beta Plus automatically. The level does not drop further than what the remaining portfolio justifies.

Does losing a loyalty level affect my existing investments?

No. The loyalty rate for each investment is locked in at the moment that investment reaches Funded status. A subsequent drop in loyalty level does not trigger recalculation on investments that are already active — those continue earning at the rate assigned at funding.

Only new investments that reach Funded status after the level change receive the lower rate. The practical impact of a level drop is forward-looking, not retroactive.

How do I avoid losing my loyalty level when projects are repaid?

Reinvest returned principal promptly. When a project is repaid, the funds are credited to your available balance. Investing that balance into a new project before the next repayment cycle restores your active portfolio and can prevent a level drop. Can I skip Maclear Loyalty levels?

Yes. Loyalty levels are assigned automatically based on your total active portfolio at any given moment — there is no requirement to pass through each level sequentially. If a large investment pushes your portfolio from €6,000 directly to €80,000, your level jumps immediately to Alpha Plus. All investments that reach Funded status after that point receive the Alpha Plus rate.

What happens if multiple projects are repaid at the same time?

Each repayment reduces your active portfolio independently. If several projects are repaid within the same period and the cumulative reduction drops your total below multiple thresholds, your level adjusts to match the resulting portfolio in a single recalculation. You can monitor the updated level in the Overview progress bar immediately after the repayments are processed.

What happens to my loyalty level if all active projects are repaid?

If all your active investments are repaid and the returned principal is not reinvested, your active portfolio drops to zero — below the Beta threshold of €5,000. Your level returns to PreBeta until new investments reach Funded status. The PreBeta state does not affect returns on investments that were already active — those rates were locked in at funding and remain unchanged. Only new investments placed while at PreBeta level receive no additional interest bonus.
