Fees: where they apply and when they appear

All internal operations inside the Maclear bonus system — from bonus accrual to claiming and exchanging 8LNDS tokens — are free of charge for the user. A fee appears only at one point: when USDC is withdrawn to an external non-custodial wallet. The fee is not set by Maclear — it depends on network conditions and is paid by the user.
What is free and why
Every internal stage of the 8LNDS token bonus cycle is covered by the platform:
The user does not pay for any of these steps. The Reward System smart contract manages token distribution mechanics and vesting processes. Operational costs associated with maintaining the bonus system are covered by Maclear.
What is a blockchain fee and when does it appear
A blockchain fee — also called a gas fee — is a payment required by the network to process a transaction on the blockchain. It is not charged by Maclear and is not a platform fee. It exists because every operation on the Base network requires computational resources, and those resources are paid for by whoever initiates the transaction.
In the Maclear bonus system, a blockchain fee applies only when USDC is withdrawn from the platform wallet to an external non-custodial wallet on the Base network. At that point, the transaction leaves the platform and is processed directly on the blockchain. The fee depends on the current network load at the time of withdrawal and is paid by the user. No fee applies if USDC remains inside the platform wallet.
Is there a fee for Swap & Withdraw?
No. Swap & Withdraw is a platform operation — it exchanges Available 8LNDS tokens for USDC at the current market rate and credits the result to your platform wallet. This happens entirely within the Maclear system and is free of charge. A blockchain fee only appears at the subsequent step, if you choose to withdraw USDC to an external wallet.
What fees apply to Maclear investing — not bonuses
The fee structure described in this article covers the 8LNDS bonus system only. Fees related to investing activities on Maclear are covered separately in Article.
