How to earn and calculate the Maclear Loyalty Bonus

The Maclear Loyalty Bonus is earned automatically once your total active invested portfolio crosses a level threshold. The bonus is added to the interest rate (APR) of each new investment at the moment it reaches Funded status. It is calculated as a fixed annual percentage addition and paid monthly together with base interest. No manual steps are required to earn or activate it.

How is the Maclear Loyalty Bonus calculated?

The loyalty bonus is added directly to the project's base interest rate and applied to your invested amount for the full duration of the loan.

Formula: Effective rate = Project base rate + Loyalty bonus rate

Example with a 14% base rate project across all levels:

The loyalty bonus rate is fixed at the moment the project reaches Funded status. If your loyalty level changes after that point, the rate on existing investments does not change — recalculation does not occur. The updated rate applies only to investments that reach Funded status after the level change, including any investments currently in Reserved status at the time of the change.

Interest is calculated based on the exact number of calendar days in each month, not on a fixed 30-day basis. This may cause small differences between your own calculations and actual payouts.

Which Maclear investments qualify for the loyalty bonus?

All active investments in Funded projects count toward both the loyalty level threshold and the loyalty bonus:

— Primary Market investments ✓

— Secondary Market purchases ✓

— AutoInvest investments ✓

Reserved investments — funds committed to Open or Prefunded projects — are included in your total active portfolio for loyalty level calculation purposes. However, the loyalty bonus rate for those investments is only fixed once the project reaches Funded status.

Does the loyalty bonus apply to Reserved investments or only Funded ones?

The loyalty bonus rate is not fixed while an investment is in Reserved status — it reflects your current loyalty level and updates in real time if your level changes. The rate is fixed at the moment the project reaches Funded status. If your loyalty level changes after that point, the rate on existing investments does not change — recalculation does not occur. The updated rate applies only to investments that reach Funded status after the level change.

Two common scenarios:

— You invest while the project is still Open, then reach a higher loyalty level before it reaches Funded status. The higher rate applies — your level at the moment of Funded is what counts.

— You invest after already reaching a higher loyalty level. The rate is locked in immediately at Funded status.

In both cases the same rule applies: the rate active at the moment the project reaches Funded status is the one that sticks.

What happens to my loyalty bonus if I invest more after reaching a level?

If additional investments push your portfolio above the next threshold, your level updates immediately. All investments that reach Funded status after the level update receive the new higher rate. Investments already at Funded status before the update continue at their original rate (investments still in Reserved status at the time of the update will receive the new rate once they reach Funded status).

Example: you are at Beta (€5,000 active). You invest an additional €10,500, bringing your active total to €15,500 — crossing the Beta Plus threshold of €15,000. Your level updates to Beta Plus immediately. Any project that reaches Funded after this point will be calculated at the Beta Plus rate. Projects already Funded before the update continue at the Beta rate.

Why was my loyalty bonus not credited?

The most common reasons:

— The investment was made before your portfolio crossed the qualifying threshold. The loyalty bonus applies only to investments that reached Funded status after your level was achieved. — Your loyalty level decreased between reservation and funding. If your active portfolio dropped below the threshold before the project reached Funded status, the lower rate applies. — The investment is still in Reserved or Prefunded status. The loyalty rate is assigned at Funded, so the bonus will appear once the project is disbursed.

Is the loyalty bonus included in the Maclear tax report?

Yes. The loyalty bonus is paid as part of your monthly interest and is included in the Interest Income field of your Maclear tax statement — it is not reported as a separate line item.
