How to register on 8lends: account setup and KYC verification guide

Registration on 8lends takes 10–15 minutes. You can sign up with an email address or by connecting a crypto wallet directly. All investors must complete KYC verification via Sumsub before investing. Maclear investors who have already passed KYC on Maclear can transfer their verification to 8lends without repeating the process.

How to create an account on 8lends: step by step
Step 1. Go to app.8lends.io and click Sign Up.
Step 2. Choose your registration method:
— Via email: enter your email address, set a password, and confirm with the code sent to your inbox. — Via wallet: connect a compatible crypto wallet and sign the confirmation message.
Step 3. Fill in your profile: name, country of residence, and email address for notifications if you registered via wallet.
Step 4. Complete KYC verification through Sumsub — see the next section.
Step 5. If you registered via email, connect your crypto wallet at this stage. Email and wallet are linked to a single account — you can log in using either method afterwards.
Step 6. Fund your wallet with USDC on the Base network. Minimum investment is 100 USDC. See Article for how to get USDC on Base.
Step 7. Go to Projects, select a project, and confirm your first investment.
How to pass KYC verification on 8lends
KYC on 8lends is processed by Sumsub — a licensed identity verification provider. The process takes a few minutes and is completed once. Documents are stored by Sumsub, not by 8lends.
To start: click Complete KYC on any project page.

5 | Wait for confirmation — usually a few minutes |
Accepted documents: passport, national ID card, residence permit, driver's licence.
After successful verification, the Invest now button becomes active on all project pages. If the check fails, Sumsub will indicate the reason — most commonly a document quality issue that can be resolved by re-uploading.
I am already verified on Maclear — do I need KYC again on 8lends?
No. Investors who have passed KYC on Maclear can transfer their verification to 8lends without repeating the process. Fill in the transfer form and the team will link your verified identity to your 8lends account.
