Before investing, make sure you have completed KYC, Proof of Address (POA), and deposited funds into your account.

  1. Go to the Projects section and browse available opportunities on the primary market.
  2. Open a project page to review the details: interest rate, loan term, borrower profile, risk score, and repayment schedule.
  3. Enter the amount you want to invest (minimum €50) and click Invest now.
  4. Confirm the transaction in the pop-up window.

Your funds immediately move to Reserved status. Once the project reaches its full funding target and transitions to Funded, interest begins to accrue according to the repayment schedule. Interest payments are typically made monthly.

After your first investment, you will receive Form A to sign via email. This is a one-time document confirming you are the beneficial owner of the invested funds. Once signed, all further investments, AutoInvest, and full platform access are unlocked.

How does Maclear make money: the platform business model explained

Maclear operates as a financial intermediary, charging borrowers but not investors. Revenue comes from three streams: a 3–6% borrower commission on every funded project, audit services billed to borrowers, and a 2.5% fee on Secondary Market sales paid by the seller. Two percent of every borrower commission goes directly to the Provision Fund.

Minimum investment amount on Maclear: how much do you need to start?

The Maclear minimum investment is €50 on the Primary Market and €30 on the Secondary Market. There is no minimum account balance required between investments. With €50 you can fund a single project; with €500 you can spread across ten projects — which is also the threshold for Maclear's Loyalty Bonus programme.
