Has Maclear ever had delayed loan payments? Real cases and outcomes

3 Min.
As of the date of publication, no Maclear borrower has delayed scheduled payments to the point of requiring Provision Fund activation. All projects have met their payment obligations on schedule. One default case — Vibroedil — occurred in July 2025 and was resolved through a private settlement, with 100% of investor principal returned. The Provision Fund was not used in that case.
Payment history on Maclear
Since the platform's first funded project in 2023, all borrowers have met their scheduled interest and principal payments. The Provision Fund — which exists specifically to cover investor payments during borrower delays — has not been activated.
This does not mean delays cannot occur. Maclear's response framework is designed for exactly that scenario, and the steps are clearly defined: Provision Fund coverage from day 3, soft collection from day 30, legal enforcement from day 60. The system exists because delays are a known risk in lending, not because they have been common on the platform.
The Vibroedil case
The closest Maclear has come to a payment disruption was the Vibroedil case in July 2025 — the platform's first and only default. Vibroedil S.R.L. entered bankruptcy proceedings in Italy. The company continued making interest payments for several weeks after bankruptcy was confirmed. Maclear resolved the case through a private settlement rather than a lengthy bankruptcy claim, and all investors received 100% of their principal back. The Provision Fund was not used. See Article for the full account.
How many times have Maclear borrowers delayed payments?
As of the time of publication, no borrower payments on the Maclear platform have been delayed to the point of triggering Provision Fund coverage. All projects have maintained scheduled repayments. The one default case — Vibroedil — was resolved through a settlement before the enforcement mechanism was fully activated, and investors were repaid in full.
What would happen if a borrower delayed payments today?
Maclear's response is immediate and follows a defined protocol. From day 3 of a missed payment, the Provision Fund covers investor interest so there is no interruption in returns. Soft collection begins at day 30, and legal enforcement at day 60. The step-by-step process is described in Article.
What happened in the Vibroedil default — what did investors receive?
Investors who participated in the Vibroedil project received 100% of their principal back. The case was resolved through a private repayment agreement rather than through bankruptcy proceedings. The Provision Fund was not used. Full details are in Article.
